Delhi riots accused Tahir Hussain was released from Tihar Jail on Thursday morning. Tahir is about to file nomination papers for Delhi elections. Yesterday Delhi High Court had approved Tahir’s parole. He was released from jail under heavy security cover of Delhi Police. He came out of jail at around 9.15 in the morning.
Former Aam Aadmi Party councilor Hussain has been fielded by All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) from Mustafabad seat for the assembly elections.
On 24 February 2020, violence broke out in north-east Delhi, leaving 53 people dead and many injured. Tahir is an accused in this case.
Voting will take place on all 70 seats in Delhi on 5 February. Whereas, the results will be declared on 8th February. The current tenure of Delhi Assembly is ending on 23 February.

Congress candidate from New Delhi Sandeep Dixit said that people are angry with AAP and Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal has never come to his assembly in 10 years. Due to which there is anger among the public. On the other hand, people also have no expectations from BJP.
On SP’s support to AAP, Sandeep said that Akhilesh must have liked the policies of AAP, he must have liked the liquor scam. That’s why he gave support.
