The Delhi government has signed an important agreement (MOU) with the central government to start a ferry service on the Yamuna river of Delhi. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has described it as a big step for the development of Delhi. He said that it will be a new area of ​​tourism in Delhi and soon people will be able to take advantage of this service.
Apart from this, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that this scheme could have been realized a year ago. But the then Chief Minister had completely rejected it. This negative politics was regrettable for Delhi.
Ferry service will start on Yamuna river of Delhi
About two years ago, an advanced boat was taken from the Indian Navy to make Yamuna a navigable. This boat also started measuring the depth of Yamuna. But this effort also fell to the negative thinking of the previous government.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the then Chief Minister had filed a petition in the Supreme Court and banned these efforts. Now the government has changed in Delhi and the public has made its feelings clear about Yamuna. Boat tourism and ferry service will start on the Yamuna River from Sonia Vihar to Jagatpur (Shani Temple) in Delhi.
Inland water transport will be boosted in Delhi
The new government has decided to start a ferry service in collaboration with the Center, which will not only promote tourism but will also get a new option for transport.
