According to the information, rogue Romil Bohra, who was killed in the encounter, killed several bullets of liquor businessman Shantanu in Kurukshetra, Haryana on 14 June. Shantanu had liquor business in 12 districts. At the same time, Romil also killed 4 people by shooting bullets in Yamuna Nagar last year.

Police said that at the midnight of 24 people, the employees of Counter Intelligence, Special Cell, Delhi Police had received information about Yamuna Nagar, a wanted criminal from Haryana Police, Romil Bohra son Kapil Vohra, a wanted criminal from Haryana Police. After which a joint investigation operation was carried out in the area around Delhi-Haryana border near Dera Mandi. On the morning of 24 June 2025, Romil was identified by the informer and police teams tried to catch him.
However, Romil fired on the police party and tried to escape. In response to which the police team fired in self -defense and Romil died after being shot. Two members of the police team SI Praveen and SI Rohan were also injured in this encounter. Those who have been admitted to the hospital.
Police said that a case is being registered in this regard under the relevant sections. Profile of desired criminal: Romil is an active shooter of the infamous Kala Rana-Noni Rana gang. He became notorious after recently involved in the Shantanu murder case in Kurukshetra district and the triple murder in Yamunanagar district. Romil was also wanted in a case of Arms Act in Delhi.
