The next hearing in the ban on firecrackers in the Supreme Court will be held on 8 October.
The Supreme Court allowed the crackers to be made in Delhi-NCR on Friday before Diwali. The court said that manufacturers who have a permit of Neeri and PESO to make green crackers, only they can make crackers.
Justice of India (CJI) BR Gawai, Justice K.K. The bench of Vinod Chandran and Justice NV Anjaria also laid a condition for the manufacturers. The bench said that they would not sell any crackers in the NCR until the next order of the court.
The Supreme Court said that the ban on firecrackers is neither possible, nor is it correct. The court directed the Center to take a decision on revising the complete ban on manufacturing firecrackers after deliberations with all stakeholders from the Center.
