A case of online extortion of 700 women has come to light in Delhi. Police on Friday arrested a man who threatened to make women’s photos viral by trapping them through dating app. His name is Tushar Singh Bisht and he is a technical recruiter in a private company in Noida.

Police said that 23-year-old Tushar, a resident of Delhi, created a fake profile by feeding virtual international mobile numbers on Bumble, WhatsApp and Snapchat. She described herself as America’s freelance model. To create the profile, photographs of a Brazilian model were used.

After this, he befriended 500 women on Bumble and about 200 women on WhatsApp-Snapchat. As soon as the women trusted Tushar, he asked for private photos from the women. When the women called him to meet him, he threatened to make the photographs viral and sell them on the dark web.
