A bomb threat to Delhi schools was sent by a 12th class student. Delhi Police detained the accused student on Friday.
He told during interrogation that he did not want to give the exam, hence he sent the email. To avoid any doubt from the schools, he tagged his school as well as 23 schools of Delhi in the email.
However, the information about which school the accused student belongs to and when and which schools he had threatened has not been released yet. Delhi Police said that the student had threatened schools 5 times before.
ANI reported that on Wednesday also some schools were given fake threats. This included DPS, Blue Bells and Tagore International School in Delhi’s Vasant Vihar and RK Puram. After the threat, checking was done in these schools, but nothing suspicious was found. It has not been told yet whether these schools were threatened by the same student or not.
Schools were investigated after bomb threats. The pictures are from 22nd October.
The student wrote in the email – Bags are not checked, hence the plan was successful.
Delhi Police said that in the email sent to the schools, the student had written – By not strictly checking the bags of the students entering the school, we got the right opportunity to execute our plan. At this time, everyone other than the students taking the exam will either be standing outside in the grounds or walking around the building. Several bombs have been planted on your campus. You are completely unaware of them.
