Students will no longer have to worry about the problems faced during admission to Delhi University. Aam Aadmi Party’s student organization, Association of Students for Alternative Politics (ASAP) has installed an admission help desk outside DU’s Ort Faculty to help such students, where every problem of students will be resolved.
Students who come from outside states out of Delhi and take admission in DU colleges also do not need to wander anywhere for the response of their apprehensions. Zone wise helpline numbers have been issued for these. Students can get answers to their questions by calling these numbers. On Thursday, Ishna Gupta and Deepak Bansal, members of the essen, have given this information after holding a press conference at “AAP” headquarters.
Ishana Gupta said that “AAP” national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has given a new vision to the students of the country by launching Asap. The hard -working members of the Asap are standing with students 24 hours. Every day of students is precious. In view of this, the Asap has organized many social and cultural activities so far.
Ishana Gupta said that recently the incident took place at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University, in that difficult time, the essap supported the students and also provided financial assistance. When the students of the Asap went there, they saw that the students were struggling outside the college gate in sun, heat and rain.
Students will also be taken care of the problem of eating and drinking
The essep felt that students should not have any problem in catering. After this, Essap launched a new initiative on Wednesday. Under this, SAP has prepared an admisition help desk outside the Arts Faculty of Delhi University, which will help students in admission of UG and PG.
Isna Gupta said that ‘When a student passes 12th, he has big dreams. He wants to go to good university and college but many students come from financially weaker families and are left behind due to lack of correct information. Essap is committed to help such students and wants to create a support system for all students. Many students cannot reach the help desk, as they cannot travel from far -flung areas. For such students, the organization has released zone-wise helpline numbers through its various social media pages.
He further said, ‘Through these helpline numbers, students can seek immediate assistance for UG and PG admission, ask their douts and questions. The purpose of the launch of this help desk and helpline is to make every student feel self -sufficient. His journey to admission is to make it easier. The essep stands 24 hours with all the students, because the organization believes that when the students start good, only then they can change the country and society later.
Helpline number will be operational 24 hours
At the same time, SAP member Deepak Bansal said, ‘Essap is working to raise the problems of students in Delhi University 24 hours. Volunteers of the organization are active. In the politics of the country, BJP and Congress have become two aspects of a coin, similarly the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the National Students Union of India (NSUI) have also become two aspects of a coin.
He said that recently a condemnable incident occurred in DU, where ABVP candidate locked the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) office. Shortly after, the President of NSUI, who is also DUSU President, reached there and worked to break the lock with a hammer. This was a scripted incident, showing that only reel politics is happening in DU.
Deepak Bansal said that DU students gave a majority to ABVP and NSUI on two seats, so that they could raise their voice for their basic facilities. But these representatives could neither become their voice, nor could they raise their problems. Recently, the incident of fire in Zakir Hussain College is an example of this, where there was no emergency gate, nor had fire alarm or fire instruments. This is a shame for DU administration.
Essap told lack of these facilities in Delhi University
Deepak Bansal said that DU is counted among the reputed universities of the world. Students from all over the country and the world come to study here, there is a shortage of basic facilities like water system, infrastructure and clean messages. Infrastructure of many colleges like Aditi College, Bhagini Nivedita College is pathetic.
Fans do not run, fees are increasing in hostels, but infrastructure is not being corrected. Food is not clean in the mess of DU government hostels. Canteen operators do not follow parameters. The essap demands that the politics of this reel be abolished. Students are now looking at the essap as alternative politics, as ABVP and NSUI are busy making reel only.
Deepak Bansal said that SAP DU demands that cold water coolers be installed in all colleges, infrastructure should be improved, fire safety and fire exit gates should be ensured. Also, fees increase in DU and hostels should stop. Essap believes that education in government universities should be free, as “AAP” national convenor Arvind Kejriwal showed infrastructure, water, swimming pool and sports complex in Delhi schools. Essap said that if the DU administration does not meet their demands, they will soon submit a memorandum to the Vice Chancellor of DU and perform.
