School Holidays: In view of the increasing impact of cold in Delhi-NCR, the government has announced closure of schools from 1 January 2025 to 15 January 2025. At present schools are operating in hybrid mode, but if the situation becomes more serious, there may be changes in the dates of holidays. This step has been taken keeping in mind the safety of children and the effects of cold.
In view of the outbreak of cold wave in Uttar Pradesh, Yogi government has declared holiday in all primary schools from 31 December 2024 to 14 January 2025. This order will be applicable to government and private schools of all the districts including Noida and Ghaziabad. The Education Department has taken this decision giving priority to the safety of children.
Schools will remain closed in Rajasthan till January 5
The School Education Department in Rajasthan has declared winter vacation in all government schools from 25 December 2024 to 5 January 2025. However, in view of the severe cold, these holidays can be extended. Similarly, in Punjab, it has already been announced to remain closed from 24th December to 31st December 2024. In view of the increasing effect of cold, there is a possibility of increase in the duration of holidays here too.
Winter holidays in Haryana from 1 to 15 January
Haryana Government has also announced winter vacation in schools from January 1, 2025 to January 15, 2025. The effect of cold and fog is continuously increasing in the state, due to which this decision was taken keeping in mind the safety of children.
Holiday declared in Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh also
Government schools in Jharkhand will be opened on 6 January 2025, while winter vacation has been announced in Madhya Pradesh from 31 December 2024 to 4 January 2025. In view of the increasing severity of cold, the duration of holidays may increase here too.
Due to increasing severity of cold in North India, winter holidays have been declared in schools. Keeping in mind the safety of children, these steps have been taken in different states. The government has appealed to parents and children to be careful and adopt measures to avoid cold.
