A sensational case of murder has come to light in Paharganj area of ​​Delhi. A woman was strangled to death at the New Victoria Hotel early Saturday. The deceased has been identified as 24 -year -old Kirti Sharma. She was a resident of Udham Singh Nagar, Rudrapur in Uttarakhand. The murder charge is on her husband Gopal Sharma (24 years), who hails from Sarai Ajmabad in Mathura.

According to the information, Gopal and Kirti had checked in the hotel by becoming a husband and wife at 6:35 pm on 20 June. Around 9 o’clock in the night, Gopal came out of the hotel as an excuse to eat and did not return. The next day at 2:45 am, a call was received to hotel manager Prem Kumar from Mathura Highway police station in UP.

The murder of a woman was reported on the phone on the phone and asked to investigate the room immediately. When the hotel manager examined the room, Kirti Sharma was found lying on the bed in a dead state. He immediately informed the Paharganj police station about the matter. Police reached the spot and investigated.

Meanwhile, it was found that the accused Gopal Sharma reached Mathura and called the number 112 and confessed to killing his wife and surrendered. He was detained by the highway police station Mathura and later handed over to the Delhi Police. During interrogation, Gopal said that he suspected that his wife had a love affair with another person. Due to this suspicion, he got angry and strangled him to death. At present, Delhi Police has arrested the accused and started further investigation.
