The entire opposition, including the Congress, is accusing the Election Commission of Vote Chari about Bihar SIR. Meanwhile, the Election Commission has clarified that political parties are involved in all stages of preparing voter list. The Election Commission said that the hard copy and digital copy of the draft voter list is shared with all political parties and they are made available to see everyone on the Election Commission website.
The Election Commission said, “After this, a month’s time is given to register claims and objections. The final published voter list is also shared with all recognized political parties and two-level appeal procedure is made available. It seems that some political parties and their booth level agents (BLA) did not examine the voter lists at the right time and did not inform the disturbances.”
The Election Commission also said, “Parties who have objections to voter lists did not raise objections at the right time. If this had happened and these mistakes had been correct, the concerned SDM, ERO would have improved it.”
