After the arrest of farmer leaders in Mohali, the Punjab government has come under target of the opposition. Amid the process of opening the Shambhu border, the police, Saravan Singh Pandher, convenor of the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) and Jagjit Singh Dallawal, leader of the United Kisan Morcha (Non-Political)

On this action, the Congress accused the AAP government of collusion with the BJP. Raja Wading called it a betrayal of farmers, while Sukhbir Badal said that Bhagwant Maan Sarkar is not ready to listen to the demands of the farmers. Bikram Majithia called it a shock.
Earlier, the seventh round of talks between the central government and the farmers on the Shambhu and Khanouri border were also inconclusive. When the farmers were returning after the meeting, the police took them into custody, causing the political atmosphere of Punjab.
Here, the Punjab Police has completed the process of opening the Shambhu and Khanouri border closed for 13 months. Farmers have been removed from here.

Raja Vading said- Central and State Government betrayed farmers
The BJP government at the Center and the AAP government in Punjab- both betrayed the farmers and stabbed the back. It is surprising that when the talks were going on between the representatives of the central government and the farmers, why did the Punjab Police feel the need to arrest the farmer leaders?
Was this action taken on farmers to divert the attention of the public with a barbaric assault done by 12 Punjab police personnel in Patiala?
Pratap Bajwa said- CM’s connivance with Center
Today, AAP Punjab has stabbed the back by taking back several other farmers including farmer leaders Jagjit Singh Dallawal, Saravan Singh Pandher, who is going back after a meeting with Union Ministers and cabinet ministers of Punjab in Chandigarh.
This step has completely exposed Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s connivance with BJP. As a leader of opposition, I strongly condemn this and demand immediate release of these farmers. During the budget session, I will raise the voice of farmers vigorously. Punjab will never tolerate such a dictatorial attitude.
MP Channi said- CM kneeled
Former Punjab Chief Minister and MP Charanjit Singh Channi said, “Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Manji has returned to meet home minister Amit Shah. Action has been planned against Punjab under a big conspiracy. Now farmer leaders have started to be detained in Punjab.”
He further said, “Water tanks and tear gas shells have been sent to Ambala. The force of Delhi from across the country is being sent to Shambhu and Khanouri border. Farmers will be attacked in the coming days.”
“I request Bhagwant Maan that you are also the son of a farmer, then how can you be with the Center in this movement, while the conversation between the farmers and the central government is going on?”
“But today it is regretted that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has succumbed. Punjab and farmers have already faced a lot of struggle, but now the preparations are being made to throw Punjab in the same fire again.”
Majithia said- Bhagwant Maan used to say, if the farmer does not go to Delhi, will go to Lahore
Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia said that “Today, there is a shock and hooliganism with the Annadata of Punjab of the country. Bhagwant Mann used to say that when he was asked why the farmer of Punjab goes to Delhi, his reply was- the country’s farmer is, if he does not go to his capital, what will go to Lahore?”
He added, “Today I ask that if someone is fighting his battle in a peaceful manner, whose debts are not being forgiven, while the loans of industrialists are being forgiven, efforts should be made to prevent farmers from committing suicide, and if he is fighting his family to make a profitable business for his family, then why are they preparing to lift?”
“Today the shock is at its peak. The police has started a large crackdown.”
Sukhbir Badal condemns
Former President of Akali Dal Sukhbir Badal said- Bhagwant Maan government, who promised to give MSP to the farmers of Punjab in five minutes, is not ready to listen to the legitimate demands of the farmers today. I strongly condemn the farmer leaders and farmers to raise the forced violence. The Punjab government should immediately release the arrested farmers and accept their demands.
Speaker Sandhawan said- fight against the center, but do not harm Punjab
Punjab Assembly Speaker Kulatar Singh Sandhawan said that our party and the government have always stood with the farmers and will continue their support in every way.
But due to the dharna, Punjab has been suffering heavy losses in industry and trade due to the breakdown of road connectivity with other states for a long time, due to which unemployment is also increasing.
We appeal to all the farmer brothers of Punjab to cooperate with the government in opening the boundaries of the state, because the opening of roads will open new avenues for Punjab’s progress.
Cheema said- Trade is affecting business due to road jams
Finance Minister Harpal Cheema said that when the BJP government at the Center imposed three black laws on farmers, then the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi fully supported the farmers.
Farmers are fighting only with the central government, but due to the jam of two major roads of Punjab, the trade of the state is being affected.
In addition, our commitment to employment to the youth of the state can be successful only when trade in Punjab is run smoothly. We were together in the fight against the farmers and will always be together.
I appeal to the farmers to move forward with consent, so that the development of Punjab is not affected and our fight continues in the right direction.
