Conspiracy to erase evidence
Manjunath N, the lawyer of the mother of the missing MBBS student Ananya Bhat, accused the SIT that an attempt has been made to hide the evidence by deliberately putting fresh soil and debris in the Bahubali Hills forest area. However, SIT says that the place where the excavation was done was not a landfill.

Three YouTubers attacked, six arrested
There was a clash between two groups after the attack on three YouTubers and a cameraman on August 6 in Pangala area of Dharmasthal. In this case, the police arrested six accused- Padmaprasad, Suhas, Guruprasad, Sasikumar, Kalander and Chetan on bail.

Case filed against journalist
The Belthangadi police has registered a case against journalist Vasant Giliar for a Facebook post. It is alleged that his post was about to spread communal malice, in which the number of mosques in the map of the shrine was shown in red.
