In between, the cleaning worker was also being asked how much a more deep pit was to be digged. At his behest, the work of digging the pit continued to the depth. At the first place of the cleaning worker, about 15 feet deep pit itself was paid. But till now nothing was felt.
Now it was six o’clock in the evening. The weather was also starting to get blessed and dark. After this, the cleaning worker was again asked whether the corpses were buried in a deep pit. On the refusal of Safai Karnamachari, it was finally decided to stop the excavation work after digging a 15 feet deep pit at six o’clock in the evening. And in this way, the excavation of the first place was not found out of the 15 places which the witness i.e. the cleaning worker had shown. No corpse, evidence or skeleton of the corpse was found from inside. The first place was filled with soil with the witness’s consent.
Claim of masked witness lawyer
However, after the first day excavation, the sanitation worker’s lawyer Manjunath M has issued a statement claiming that a piece of red blouse, PAN card and ATM card have been found in the first excavation itself. According to the statement, one of these cards is the name of one man while the name Lakshmi is written on the other card. Advocate Manjunath has claimed that these things have been found from two and a half feet deep pit. However, the SIT has denied the recovery of anything.
However, despite no evidence of corpses in the first excavation, the SIT has decided that it will also dig the remaining 14 places mentioned by the cleaning worker. Only after this, a decision will be taken about further investigation. Currently, the remaining 14 places which the witness has offered for the anti -Naxal Force, Garuda Force, Special Action Force and Karnataka State Reserve Police Force have been deployed. Videography has also been done for excavation.
After excavation of the first day, on Tuesday, the SIT started digging in the second and third and fourth places. These three places are also on the banks of the Netravati river. More than ten feet of excavation was done at these three places with the first Majdulas and Pir Machine. But no corpse or skeleton was recovered from these three places.
That is, three out of 15 places have been excavated by Qaid and no corpse was found from these three places according to the claim of the cleaning worker. By the way, the first eight of the 15 places which the cleaning worker has traced is on the banks of this Netravati river. A few years ago there was also flood in areas around this river.
In addition to the eight places around the Netravati river, some of the other places which the witness has marked, some of them are reserved forest. Excavation work in those dense forests is going to be very difficult. But still the SIT has decided to excavate inside the forest. After Wednesday, excavation work will continue on Thursday under the supervision of SIT.
