New Delhi. Greg Chappell, former head coach of the Indian team, believes that Virat Kohli did not leave Test cricket due to poor form with bat in the last two series against New Zealand (October-November 2024) and Australia (November 2024-January 2025). Rather, this has happened due to the impact on them in the last few years.
Kohli, who is one of the greatest batsmen ever. He confirmed the news of his retirement from the Test on Instagram on 12 May. During his 14 -year Test career, he played 123 Tests and scored 9230 runs with the help of 30 centuries and 31 fifties.
Rohit and Kohli announced retirement from Test cricket last month, which created a big challenge for the young Indian team. India has to play a Test series against England from June 20. However, there is no lack of experience in the team with experienced players like KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja and Jaspreet Bumrah.
