Dog byte growing cases worrying in Noida! More than 74 thousand cases registered in 5 months – Increasing Cases of Dog Bites in Noida Areing More Than 74 Thousand Cases registered in 5 months LCLCN

Noida adjacent to Delhi has an increase in animal bites incidents. According to the latest data released by the Health Department, between January 2025 and May 2025, 74 thousand 550 animal bytes have been reported in just 5 months. Most of these cases are related to Strey Dogs (stray dogs).

According to the report, 52 thousand 714 people have become victims of stray dogs. At the same time, 16 thousand 474 people have been bitten by pet dogs. Apart from this, incidents of cutting 3 thousand 833 people by monkeys and 1 thousand 179 people have been reported. According to these figures, an average of 15 thousand people are being affected by the attack of animals every month and every day.

Dr. Tikam Singh, Deputy CMO of Gautam Budh Municipal Health Department, said that the increasing incidents of animal bites have become a matter of serious concern. To control this, the Health Department has started the process of identifying hotspots in the district in collaboration with CVO (Chief Veterinary Officer) and Noida Authority.

The deputy CMO further stated that by the identity of the hotspot, it will be found out in which areas the attacks of animals are happening more. This allows prevention, vaccination and rescue campaign there. The department is working seriously in this direction so that the common man can get relief and this increasing threat can be controlled soon.
