On August 22, a special bench of Justice Vikram Nath, Justice Sandeep Mehta and Justice NV Anjaria ruled in the case related to stray dogs.
Supreme Court Justice Vikram Nath said on Saturday that, I was known for my small work in the law for a long time. I am grateful to stray dogs, who made me famous not only in the country but worldwide.
Speaking at a regional conference on a human-wandering struggle organized by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Justice Nath said that he also wants to thank India’s Chief Justice BR Gavai who assigned the case to him.
In fact, on August 22, the Special Bench of Justice Vikram Nath, Justice Sandeep Mehta and Justice NV Anjaria ruled in the case related to stray dogs. The court said that the dogs who are caught are sterilized and vaccinated should be left back from where they have been raised. This order will be applicable across the country including Delhi.
Supreme Court said- Policy necessary at national level, now hearing in October
- Justice Vikram Nath said- For this a policy should be made at the national level. We have made all the states and union territories parties.
- Wherever cases are pending in the rest of the country’s High Court, they should be transferred to the Supreme Court. The next hearing has been listed for October eight weeks later.
