President Donald Trump on Thursday expressed disappointment over the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ was severely criticized by Allen Musk. He said that Tesla’s CEOs were always aware of the major provisions of the bill- especially about the proposed cuts in the electric vehicle (EV) mandate. Trump said in a conversation with reporters at the Oval Office, ‘I am very disappointed with Allen. I have helped them a lot. He knew the internal work of the bill better than anyone sitting here. He had no problem with this. Suddenly he had the problem and the problem increased when he came to know that we are going to cut EV mandate.
President Trump also said that Musk’s opposition to ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ E.V. For the Federal Consumer Tax Credit is steep from a plan to terminate the credit, which will directly affect Tesla. Trump said, ‘Look, there was very good relationship between Alan and me. I do not know whether there will be good relations between us or not. He did not say the best things about me anywhere else and did not personally say anything bad about me. This will be the next thing. But I am very disappointed. Musk denied the claims of Donald Trump made about ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ in a post on X.
He wrote in response to Trump’s comments, ‘Wrong, this bill was not shown to me even once and it was passed so fast in the darkness of the night that almost no one in the Congress could read it.’ In another post, Musk said: ‘Whatever it is. Keep the EV/solar incentive in the bill, even if the oil and gas subsidy is not touched (very inappropriate !!). Referring to the official title of the bill, Musk said in a sarcastic tone, ‘In the whole history of civilization, never made any law that is both big and beautiful. Everyone knows this thing! Either you will get BIG and Ugly Bills or Slim and Beautiful Bill. Slim and beautiful are the only way. Alan Musk replied to a user and wrote, ‘Without me, the trump would have lost the election, the Democrats would control the House and there would have been 51-49 seats in the Republican Senate.’ He described Trump as a favor.
Without me, Trump would have lost the election, dems would control the house and the republicans would be 51-49 in the senate.

This conflict shows a dramatic turn in the relationship that was very politically connected to the extent. Musk, who was once one of Trump’s staunch supporters, had allegedly spent about 300 billion USD to support Republican candidate Donald Trump in 2024 elections and now played a major role in Trump’s comprehensive Federal Cost-Cost-Ting Initiative as the head of the Department of Department of Government Efficiency (Department of Government Efficiency). But since withdrawing from Doge, Musk has become one of the most vocal opponents of the new law.
He has made many posts against this bill on X. He did not hide this in his post earlier. Alan Musk wrote in a post on Tuesday, ‘I am sorry, but I can no longer tolerate it. Those who vote for this big beautiful bill are ashamed. You know that you did wrong. You know this.
