US President Donald Trump called European leaders after a conversation with Putin and explained how to bring immediate peace in Ukraine. Trump bluntly told the European leaders that if Jailonski handed over the entire area of Donbas to Russia, even those areas which are not in the possession of Russian soldiers, then there may be immediate peace in the area. Trump also said that he supports the scheme.
Trump will talk with European leaders and Jailonsky
According to The New York Times report, the European official said that Trump would discuss the same issue with Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky on Monday (August 18, 2025). European leaders have also been invited for this meeting. After a meeting with Putin, Trump has abandoned the ceasefire demand. He believes that under the immediate peace agreement, good decisions can also be taken from the ceasefire.
Jailonski protested against giving land to Russia
According to the report, Jailnsky and European leaders have strongly opposed giving land to Russia. Ukrainian officials said that we cannot agree on any agreement to give land to Russia. He called it a violation of the Ukrainian Constitution. Putin has offered ceasefire in the rest of Ukraine in lieu of the deal giving land to Russia. Putin has also made a written promise not to attack Ukraine or any European country again.
European country will continue banning Russia
Officials said that taking a decision on your area would depend on Ukraine. He also said that international boundaries should not be replaced by force. The official said that Trump has not mentioned any other ban or economic pressure on Russia during the conversation. However, another official said that European leaders emphasized that they would continue to ban Russia and economic pressure.
