Sometimes, inadvertently, we do a lot of harm to our health and we do not even know about this. By the time we come to know, it is too late. Especially in the case of alcoholic things like alcohol and cigarettes. Some people do not drink alcohol every day, but drink alcohol in weekends or parties. You will be surprised to know that people who sometimes drink alcohol have a lot of effect on their liver.
Some time ago, on social media, a doctor of a liver (Dr. Cyrich AB Philips) shared a post comparing 2 human liver. In it, one liver was on the weekend, the husband who was a husband and the other belonged to his wife who never used to drink alcohol. While the husband’s liver was black and spotted, the wife’s liver was healthy and pink. The difference between the two liver in the picture shocked everyone. After seeing this picture, a debate started on the damage caused by drinking alcohol on the Internet.
Dr. Philips wrote in his post, ‘I wanted to show the inner part of the liver of just 32 -year -old man who used to drink alcohol on the weekend and never drink alcohol of his wife. The wife donated a liver to the husband so that she could survive to see her younger daughter growing up.
Another doctor says that even a small amount of alcohol is similar to poison for the liver. The effect of alcohol also depends on many other reasons:
1. The speed we drink, it affects the bloodstream. In the same proportion our blood contains the amount of alcohol. Which is called blood alcohol concentration (BAC).
2. Alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) and Aldihyde dehydrogenase (ALDH2) both of which affect the metabolism of alcohol.
3. Apart from this, drinking alcohol during diet, age, smoking and even day during daytime affects the body.
People may feel that alcohol is drunk only on weekends, but alcohol with blood starts affecting the liver.
So shouldn’t alcohol drink at all?
Doctors say that if you want your liver to be completely healthy then it would be better that you never drink alcohol. However, sometimes the disadvantage of taking it can vary from every human being. Staying away from alcohol can also prevent many other diseases including cancer, heart disease and neurological disorder.
Liver is the most important part of our body. It is also called self -fighter. If there is any problem in the liver, then it cures itself. Let us tell you that liver is the only organ in the body, which can be donated for transplant. If you donate the liver and donate it to someone, then within a few months both the donor and the liver will become the same as the liver.
If you are afraid of your liver spoiling, or are troubled by alcohol drinking habits, then you should consult a doctor.
