Police has achieved great success in Thane district of Maharashtra. Where a person has been arrested near Mumbra bypass with Mefedron worth Rs 1.69 crore. A Thane police official gave this information on Monday.
Thane Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Amar Singh Jadhav said that Mohanlal Gunshji Joshi Joshi alias Sharma (55) was arrested on 18 July and a car was arrested on the basis of a special information.
DCP (Crime) Amar Singh Jadhav said, ‘This action was done by the personnel of the crime branch first phase. Sharma is a resident of Palghar district. We have seized Mefedron worth Rs 1.69 crore.
In this connection, a case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substanese (NDPS) Act at Mumbra Police Station. Further investigation of this racket of smuggling is going on.
