The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken major action on the illegal network sending people from Punjab and Haryana through ‘Dunky Route’ to other countries including the US. A total of 11 bases including Amritsar, Sangrur and Patiala in Punjab and Ambala in Haryana on Wednesday

This action has been taken on the basis of 17 FIRs in which complaints were lodged from people sent abroad through Dunki route. This action is being done by the Jalandhar Enforcement Directorate (ED) from this morning. After the red is finished, clear information in the case will be shared by the ED.

Let me tell you that this is not the first time that in Punjab and Haryana, the ED should have red in other states including Punjab to investigate the Root. Earlier, many times have been raided and documents have been seized from dozens of people. Today, the said link has been raided to connect.

ED initiated action after migrants deployed from America

The racket was revealed after recording the statements of illegal migrants deployed from the US. Those who were deployed said that they had made this risky journey through agents by paying huge amount. Based on his statements, many brokers and agents were identified.

The ED team has started an investigation under the money laundering and so far several suspected agents have been identified. Documents, cash and electronic equipment have also been seized from agents bases during raids.

According to officials, this network is more active in rural areas of Punjab and Haryana and taking advantage of unemployment, people are implicated by showing a dream of good life abroad. The ED says that investigation will continue to eliminate this entire network of illegal immigration and to bring the culprits to the court.

What is ‘Danki Route’?

The Dunky Route is called an illegal route in which agents promise people to transport people through dangerous and illegal routes instead of legal visas. In this process, passengers have to cross the boundaries of many countries and they often risk their lives. Through this network, agents charge up to Rs 45-50 lakh per person per person.
