Telangana of Ceo Confirmed the commission’s preparations to begin
Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C. Sudarshan Reddy has confirmed that the Assembly Secretary has issued a gazette notification and has given formal information about the seat vacant. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has been informed and preparations have started. The CEO has also announced several reforms to make the election process more transparent and easy.
The Commission started several initiatives to make the election process transparent
These include decreasing the maximum number of voters at every polling station from 1,500 to 1,200, installing the polling station within 2 km radius from voters’ house and making mobile deposit counters outside polling stations. Apart from this, a total of 21 new initiatives have been started by the district administration. These initiatives include technological upgradation, voter list cleaning, BLO training and better access to low -representing voter groups.
Preparations for political parties
However, the by-election for Jubilee Hills Assembly seat has not been announced yet, but all the major parties have started campaigning. At the same time, the ruling Congress is considering this seat as a test of its credibility in Hyderabad after not winning any seat in Greater Hyderabad, leaving the cantonment by -election in the 2023 assembly elections.
CM assigned the responsibility to ministers to make election strategy
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Thummala Nageshwar Rao and B.C. Vivek has been entrusted with the task of checking the ground reality and making a strategy of victory. Meanwhile, Congress leader and former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin has expressed his desire to contest the by -election publicly.
He said that despite getting late tickets in the 2023 elections, he had a strong fight and lost by a small margin. Azhar said, “This time I want to win and dedicate Rahul Gandhi.”
