Eid 2025 Muslims offer Prayer Wearing Black Arm Band in Jama Mosque Over Waqf Amendment Bill

Eid 2025: Today the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr i.e. sweet Eid is being celebrated across the country. Eid prayers were offered in the morning in mosques and Idgahs. During this time, in many parts of the country, Muslims were seen offering black bands and offering prayers. This was a kind of symbolic protest, which was being done against the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024.

In Jama Masjid in Delhi, a large number of Muslims tied a black band and offered Namaz. When he was talked to, everyone’s answer came in unison and that was to let our religious sites remain ours and end the dispute with the Waqf Amendment Bill.

‘Resisting peacefully’
On the question of reading Namaz by tying a black band, a youth said, ‘We are expressing our opposition in a very calm manner. Not any kind of dispute or argument. The government has complete data of Waqf properties. The government also intervenes in it, but now the government wants to take it under its control, it does not seem good to us.

‘Look at the whole people with a look’
Another person said, ‘The government should not do unilateral work. Do not work for a particular class. Look at the entire people with united. Praying to Allah is that there should be peace and peace in India. There is no riot.

‘It would have been better if the Waqf controversy has been ended’
One person said, ‘Aman continued in our country. If the time of Navratri is also going on, then all the people should celebrate the festival together. It is our blessing that everyone is together. On the gift kit distributed by PM Modi on the occasion of Eid, he said that this is a good step but if he had ended the case of Waqf, it would have been a big gift for us.

‘It is wrong to tie a black band on Eid’
Some people also called the message of offering Namaz wrong by tying a black bandage. A youth said that this is not right. There is no sense of offering Namaz by tying a black bandage. Another youth said that there was an appeal to tie a black band but it was unnecessary. On the occasion of Eid, we have come to celebrate happiness, so there was no need to do this protest, etc.
