The incident took place on 21 October 2024. The victim couple had reached Bhairav Baba temple to visit. At some distance from the temple, eight young men, drunken by alcohol, held the first husband hostage and brutally beaten her. Subsequently, the woman was gang -raped in front of her husband.
After executing the incident, the accused escaped from the spot. On the complaint of the victim, the Gudh police station immediately registered a case and started searching for the accused. Different teams raided and arrested all the accused.
Case ran in fast track court The incident in Gudh was brought to the fast track court and the hearing was completed within 5 months 12 days. The court of IV Additional Sessions Judge Padma Jatav sentenced all eight convicts to life imprisonment after the fact was certified. The court said-
24 evidences were presented by the prosecutor. With which prima facie gang rape proves to be a crime.
