Ekdant sankashti chaturthi 2025: Every month Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha is celebrated as Sankashti Chaturthi. On this day Lord Ganesha is worshiped and the fast is observed only after darshan. Ekadanta Sankashti Chaturthi Muhurta
The Chaturthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Jyeshtha month will be from 4.2 pm on May 16 to 5.13 pm on May 17. In such a situation, in view of Udaya Tithi, the fast of Ekadanta Sankashti Chaturthi will be kept on 16 May i.e. today. This morning there will be Abhijeet Muhurta from 11.51 am to 12.45 pm, in which you can worship Ganpati. The time of moonrise is 09 to 52 minutes.
Ekadanta Sankashti Chaturthi’s worship method
On the day of Ekadanta Sankashti Chaturthi, first clean the place of worship. Then install the idol of Ganesha and make it three times. After this, get Ganesha bathed with Panchamrit and light a lamp in front of the idol. Also, offer green clothes, janeu, sandalwood, durva, betel nut, akshat, incense, lamp, yellow flowers and fruits to Ganesha.
While offering Durva to Ganesha, chant Shri Ganeshaya Namah Durvankuran Dedayami Mantra. After this, offer modak and laddus to Ganesha. Then perform aarti of Ganesha and distribute prasad to all people.
