Chief Election Commissioner Dnyanesh Kumar on Saturday clarified that the Commission continues to communicate with all political parties. He said that in the last 4 months, 5000 meetings have been held across the country, including more than 28 thousand people, representatives of political parties also participated in them. The Chief Election Commissioner, who came to attend a private program in Firozabad, told reporters that political parties are the most important partners of the Election Commission after voters.

According to the news agency PTI, when he was asked that the opposition parties are accusing the Commission about the Bihar elections that their concerns are being sidelined. On this, the CEC said that the Election Commission communicates regularly with various political parties. All -party meetings have been held in every assembly constituency, in every district and with the Chief Electoral Officer of every state. Chief Election Commissioner Dnyanesh Kumar said that the Commission has recently held formal meetings from 5 national and 4 state level parties, if any issue comes up, the all -party delegation also meets the Election Commission.
Information on special revision of voter list in Bihar
The Chief Election Commissioner also shared important information about special intensive revision in Bihar. He said that voters whose names are recorded in the voter list of 1 January 2003 will not need any additional documents. Their children will also not have to give parents’ documents to get voter ID card.
The Commission will soon provide the voter list of 2003 online, so that about 4.96 crore voters can use it. There are about 7.89 crore voters in Bihar, out of which 60% are old voters, which were included in the 2003 list. The remaining 3 crore people will have to give one of the 11 valid documents, so that their date of birth or birthplace can be proof.
What is the purpose of the process?
CEC Dnyanesh Kumar reiterated that the purpose of special intensive revision is to ensure that no eligible person is released from the list and no ineligible person is included. He said that it is the priority of the Election Commission to prepare a transparent and update voter list before the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar.
