The problems of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav may increase. He claimed that he is not named in Bihar’s draft voter list. According to Tejashwi, the EPIC number (Rab2916120) he shared is not in records. Taking cognizance of this, the Election Commission issued a notice to Tejashwi Yadav and sought details of the EPIC number Rab2916120 so that it can be investigated.
In the notice sent to Tejashwi Yadav, the Election Commission said, “In the press conference held on 2 August 2024, your name is not in the voter list. Investigation found that your name is mentioned on the number 416 of polling station number 204 (Library Building of Bihar Animal Sciences University), whose EPIC number is Rab0456228.”
The Election Commission said, “In the press conference you (Tejashwi Yadav) told that your EPIC number is Rab2916120. Investigation found that no such EPIC number has been released by the Election Commission.” The Election Commission has asked Tejashwi Yadav to give the full details of the EPIC number Rab2916120 (including the voter ID card), so that the matter can be investigated.
