Bihar Election: Politics is increasing continuously regarding the updation of Bihar’s voter list. In this connection, representatives of different political parties associated with the India alliance met the Central Election Commission. After the meeting, the opposition leaders said that the meeting held with the Election Commission did not take place in a cordial atmosphere and if the process of cutting the names of voters continued in the same way, then the movement will also hit the road in the coming days.

After meeting the Central Election Commission, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that the Election Commission did not have the answer to why the updation and renewal process of voter list was done 3-4 months before the election started. If the Election Commission had to do this process, then why was it not done earlier.

Election only after 3 to 4 months of the process

Abhishek Manu Singhvi questioned that when such a process took place in 2003, assembly elections were to be held after 2 years, but when the Central Election Commission announced this process here, assembly elections are to be held only after three to four months.

Singhvi said that in this way a common voter needs the documents that will be needed to add their names to the voter list, it is not so easy to meet. In such a situation, due to this process, the name of crores of voters can be cut from the new voter list of Bihar.
