Following the order of the High Court, the State Election Commission has started preparing to conduct elections for Panchayati Raj and urban bodies. The State Election Commission will announce the election of about 11 thousand panchayats and more than 150 urban bodies in 7 to 10 days.

State Election Commissioner Madhukar Gupta has announced to hold the bodies and panchayat elections soon as per the orders of the High Court. The five -year term of bodies and Panchayati Raj institutions was completed and elections will be held in two months.
State Election Commissioner Madhukar Gupta said- The legal provision is clear that elections should be held for Panchayati Raj institutions and municipal bodies within 5 years. The order given by the High Court has been given within these provisions. We warn the state government from time to time from the orders of various High Courts and Supreme Court. When the election was delayed in Haryana Punjab too, the Punjab Haryana High Court intervened in it and gave a similar order. There are similar orders with the orders that have been made now. There was also a delay in Karnataka, the court intervened there too. It is not only the problem of Rajasthan, not in other states as well. So in other states, the Supreme Court and the High Court have intervened and have given similar instructions.
High Court orders for us paramount, we will get elections soon
Madhukar Gupta said- High Court orders are paramount for us and according to that we will conduct elections soon. The body and panchayat elections have been 5 years and where 5 years will be completed within 2 months, the commission will conduct elections.
One State One election is not practical
Regarding the One State One election, Madhukar Gupta said that it is not practical. The Forest State One election cannot be completed until the constitution is amended. The Panchayati Raj institutions and bodies whose five years are not completed can be conducted under which provision ahead of time. You cannot conduct the elections of any body or Panchayati Raj institution ahead of time. One State One election will also require EVMs and other resources.
