Giving information about this, people familiar with the case said that Russian soldiers are using the same Iranian drones against Ukraine.
Hindustan Times has seen documents related to this, according to which, Ukraine is being attacked by Irani Shahd drone used by the Russian Army since last year. Last year, Indian components were found in unmanned Shahd 136 drones. After this, Ukraine lodged a formal diplomatic protest with the Ministry of External Affairs at least twice.

O’Sulivan came to India last month to inform Indian officials about the new restriction package of the European Union. The new sanctions were listed to the Russian energy company Rosneft’s joint -owned Wadinar Refinery, and a ban on import of refined products made from Russian crude oil.

Russia is using cheap Iranian drones fiercely
The Shahd drones of Iran are relatively cheap and Russia has been using them in large numbers to target Ukraine since the end of 2022. According to Ukraine’s Security Service or SBU, Iran initially gave Russia 2,000 fully assembled drones, which later installed its assembly system using Iran’s prepared parts. Ukraine’s Air Force data has shown that Russia launched 6,129 Shahd-Type drones in July.
The Directorate of Defense Intelligence of Ukraine has also reported that electronic equipment of companies in the US and China has also been found on Russian drones and other weapons.
Ajay Srivastava, the founder of Global Trade Research Initiative (GTRI), said that foreign buyers may have sent these parts to Iran through third countries. He said, ‘India imposes strict restrictions on the export of dual -use items to the restricted countries. However, once such items are exported to legitimate third countries, it becomes impossible to find out that it is being used. Open economies always have to face this challenge.
