The first match of the five -match Test series between India and England began on 20 June (Friday) at the Handingley Cricket Ground in Leeds. However, Sai Sudarshan could not do anything special to his debut test innings and was dismissed on Duck.

Overall, it rained runs on the first day of the Leeds Test. India played 85 overs and its runrate was 4.22, which shows the attacking style of Indian batsmen.
