Now the team of EOU is questioning the contractor and engineer Sunil Singh in the case of selling and selling MLAs. Today, on Tuesday, Sunil reached the office of Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) in Patna.

From 11 am, a team of EOU started questioning him, which continues till now and will run the next few hours. In this case, a notice was sent to Sunil Singh on behalf of EO on Saturday.

On Saturday, EOU sent a notice to the engineer’s house in Sahadullapur village under Kidwaipuri in Patna and Ganga Bridge police station in Vaishali.

Engineer Sunil Singh’s connection to RJD

Contractor and engineer Sunil has a connection with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). In this case, an FIR was lodged at the Kotwali police station in Patna last year. In fact, in 2024, when the government of JDU and BJP formed a coalition government was formed, they had to get a trust vote in the floor test of the assembly.

EOU investigation found evidence of money transactions for horse trading. According to the investigating agency, just before the floor test, people living in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Nepal had an attempt to purchase several NDA MLAs.

The evidence was also found that some MLAs had also taken a few rupees as advance. After the government fell, the rest of the money was to be received through hawala. These would be given to MLAs through people of other states.

FIR was lodged in Kotwali police station

Sudhanshu Shekhar is a JDU MLA from Madhubani’s Harlakhi. He had lodged an FIR to kidnap the two MLAs on 11 February 2024 at the Kotwali police station in Patna and to lure the rupee.

In the Complan, he wrote that ‘Bima Bharti and Dilip Rai have been kidnapped by some people’. The government was accused of conspiring to demolish the government.

The team of the Economic Offenses Unit became active after the case surfaced. In the initial investigation, the seriousness of the case was understood by this state police investigating agency.

After this, the case registered at the Kotwali police station was taken over by the Economic Offenses Unit and started its investigation.

Accused of offering 10 crores

During that time Bima Bharti was JDU MLA. Suddenly it was revealed that the MLAs of JDU are being pressurized to vote in favor of the grand alliance. MLA Krishna Murari Sharan has been offered the post of minister.

Whereas, MLA Sudhanshu Shekhar from Harlakhi of Madhubani has been offered an offer of Rs 10 crore to vote in favor of the grand alliance. Apart from this, MLA Bima Bharti and Dilip Rai were accused of kidnapping.

14 days got time between swearing and floor test

The NDA government was sworn in on January 28 after the Grand Alliance government fell. Nitish Kumar became the Chief Minister of Bihar for the ninth time. Two deputy CMs Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha were sworn in along with Nitish Kumar.

However, the new NDA government, led by Nitish Kumar, was to prove a majority in the floor test on 12 February. Only then was it to be decided whether the government will remain or will go.

Congress sent MLAs to Hyderabad

Prior to the floor test, the Congress sent all its MLAs to Hyderabad. The Congress feared horse trading before the floor test. Because of this, all the MLAs were stayed in a hotel in Hyderabad.

However, Congress’s immediate state president Akhilesh Singh had said that a new government has been formed in Telangana. Because of this, all the MLAs have arrived here to congratulate him.

What happened on floor test day

RJD MLA Chetan Anand reached the assembly and sat towards the NDA camp. It was clear that Chetan Anand had changed the camp.

After this, Neelam Devi, wife of RJD MLA cum Bahubali Anant Singh, sat with NDA MLAs.

Prahlad Yadav was the third MLA to separate from the party on the day of floor test. RJD MLA Prahlad Yadav from Suryagarh also changed his face. On February 12, three RJD MLAs changed his face.
