India bowled tremendously in the fourth day game and stopped England on runs. Washington Sundar played an important role. And surprised the England batsmen.
Spin all -rounder Washington Sundar took four wickets for 22 runs for India.
After the lunch break, captain Ben Stokes and Joe Root added 67 runs for the sixth wicket. However, Sundar’s plan was something else. The off-spinner dodged Joe Root for 40 runs and then dismissed England’s explosive wicketkeeper-batsman Jamie Smith for just 8 runs. Root, which was moving towards his half -century in the second innings but Sundar blown the stumps.
He was dismissed with a length ball which was drifting inside. The England captain tried to change the gear and sat on the knee to sweep the slog, but the ball crossed his bat and blown the stumps. Spin all -rounder Washington Sundar took four wickets for 22 runs for India.
