Local train services stalled

Local train services called the lifeline of Mumbai have been badly affected by heavy rains. In many places, the tracks have been flooded due to which trains are running late by one to one and a half hours.

At Ghatkopar station, passengers appeared on the tracks and proceeded on foot. The same situation was seen in Central, Harbor and many parts of the Western line.

Government holiday, still trouble

In view of the situation, the Maharashtra government has declared a holiday today. All school-colleges and government institutions are closed. However, many private companies have opened offices, due to which working people are trying to reach the office somehow. The rains that have been running for three consecutive days are not taking the name of stopping and the administration is keeping an eye on the situation.
