During the investigation at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai, during the investigation, 7 students were going to London via Jeddah. During interrogation, it was found that these students got a visa on the basis of fake information and documents and to do so, the agent took Rs 20 lakh from those students.
Police has arrested 8 people in this case and further investigation is being done by Mumbai Crime Branch. Sources said that Bhatu Walke, posted policeman in the SIB Bureau, told the police in his statement that on the night of 9 March, he was on duty in the Bureau of Immigration and during this time, many passengers going abroad were investigating documents, tickets, passports, and visas. Meanwhile, 2 passengers came to my counter for immigration investigation. When Valake saw his boarding pass for investigation, it was found that both of them were going to London via Jeddah, when they were asked the reason for going to London, the passengers described themselves as students.
The accused described themselves as students of Om Sterling Global University
Both said that he is a student of Om Sterling Global University located in Hisar, Haryana and claimed that he is going to attend the London Student Exchange Program, he also said that the university professor Vijender Premchand is also with him.
When the police staff Valake asked both of them what they study in that university and in which university in London are going for a summit. Both did not answer properly on these two questions. On suspicion, Valake presented both of them in front of Wing Incharge Dinesh Pingalsur for investigation.
8 people arrested
At the same time, 5 more students arrived at the immigration counter and everyone described themselves as a student of Om Sterling Global University and claimed that they are going to attend the London Student Exchange Program after which more officers reached there and started questioning Vijender. Vijender claimed that two of his university professors asked him to do so and also told that he met all these students and agents named Bitta in a hotel in Delhi.
In Delhi, he assured to send everyone to Britain and asked for every one to 20 lakh rupees for the visa and when the students asked to pay the money, then agent Bitta made everyone a bogus document to be a student of Om Sterling Global University and made them a viosity visa of Britain from Delhi."Text-Align: justify;"> In this case, the Sahar police of Mumbai registered an FIR under sections 12 and BNS against 8 passengers under sections 12 and BNS under Sections 123, 336 (2), 336 (3) and 340 (2) and the case has been transferred to Crime Branch for further investigation."Text-Align: justify;"> Read also:
