3100 acres of land near the village Kot village has a total of 3100 acres of land. Out of which 2700 acres are mountains. Mountain land is immovable and cannot be bought or sold. 200 acres of land is with the owners living in the village. Apart from this, the entire village has only 191 acres of cultivable land.

Supreme Court had given decision in favor of Panchayat In the year 2011, the Supreme Court decided that the Gram Panchayat has the right over such land. In which the names of the villagers came to the fore in some Panchayat lands. After this, 538 acres of land was purchased in the names of different people and companies. In which the biggest revelation was that the address of all the buyers was the same. When the administration got the information, investigation into the matter started. But the process of regularization of the purchased land has been started. After which the villagers went to NGT regarding the mountain land.

The first notification came from NGT in 2015, but in 2016 the villagers withdrew their complaint from NGT. Similarly, there were notifications from LGT in 2018 and 2021, but the villagers withdrew the complaint saying that the cultivable land is less. The purchased land will lead to development in the village. In the year 2024, Brahm Singh and some other villagers of the village filed a petition in the High Court regarding this matter. After which the hearing of the case started.
