A father -in -law has been arrested for killing her daughter -in -law in Faridabad adjacent to Delhi and burial outside the house. The 54 -year -old accused has confessed his crime in the police interrogation after his arrest. A case has been registered against the accused under the relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code. At present, the police is investigating the matter.

According to the information, the name of the accused is Bhup Singh, who is a resident of Roshan Nagar. He has confessed to strangling his daughter -in -law Tannu Kumar and burying the body in a pit dug in front of the house. However, the real reason behind the murder has not been revealed yet. The accused says that his daughter -in -law often caused a quarrel in the house.

Assistant Police Commissioner Rajesh Kumar said that accused Bhup Singh said in interrogation that he had carried out the incident on the night of 21 April. At that time Tannu’s husband Arun Kumar went to work. Her mother -in -law went to attend a wedding. Only Bhup Singh, his daughter Kajal and Tannu were present in the house. Kajal was slept after eating food at night.

Tannu also went to sleep in her room on the first floor. At night, the accused went to his room. He strangled him with a dupatta. Then he threw the dead body in a pit dug in front of the house and covered it with soil. The next morning he called a mason and filled the pit with cement, then escaped. Meanwhile, the woman’s family lodged a missing report in the police station.

Tannu’s father Hakim said that after receiving the news of the disappearance of the daughter, he reached Bhup Singh’s house with his second daughter Preeti. Seeing the fresh excavation outside the house, he suspected that something untoward had happened. After this, the police started investigation and first registered a case against Bhup Singh, his wife Sonia, son Arun Singh and daughter Kajal, a resident of Mainpuri in UP.

In the presence of Naib Tehsildar Jaswant Singh on Friday morning, the body of the woman was removed from the grave. The body was handed over to the family members after the post -mortem at Badshah Khan Civil Hospital. The police arrested the accused Bhup Singh and produced it in the court on Saturday, from where he has been sent to police custody for two days. The police is now investigating the role of other family members.

A senior police officer said that in the initial investigation, the matter seems to be related to dowry, but a detailed investigation is on. Tannu Kumar, a resident of Shikohabad in Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh, married Arun Singh, a resident of Roshan Nagar two years ago. Tannu’s father alleged that the in -laws tortured his daughter so much for dowry that she had to stay in the maiden for a year.
