A special medical team was formed to provide medical aid to farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who was on a fast unto death for the last 58 days demanding various demands of the farmers. Dallewal was given glucose drip several times on Tuesday night, due to which his hand became swollen. After this, Dallewal refused to get himself treated and said that he would do so only when the administration officials would come to Khanauri border to meet the farmers.

Meanwhile, the team of doctors has refused to take care of Jagjit Singh Dallewal, accusing the farmers of misbehaving with him. The team of doctors has written a letter to the Medical Superintendent and complained. He has written, ‘We senior and junior resident doctors are facing continuous harassment from farmers and media persons. This also includes many incidents of verbal abuse by Jagjit Singh Dallewal and his supporters. Therefore, we will not continue our duty at Khanauri border.

This letter has been signed by all the members of the special medical team formed for the treatment of Dallewal.
