Fastag new annual pass policy: It was being discussed for a long time that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is planning to bring a new toll policy across the country. Under which many new facilities will be provided to make the journey accessible on toll plazas across the country. Meanwhile, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced the release of Fastag Annual Pass through social networking site ‘X’ today, eliminating all speculation. Annual fastag pass:
Nitin Gadkari has announced the release of annual fastg pass across the country through social media today. For this annual pass, users will have to spend an amount of Rs 3,000 only once a year. After which this pass will be released to the user. The government says that, after it is active, it will remain valid for 1 year or 200 visits (whoever comes first). That is, if 200 trips are completed before the time, then users will have to renew the pass once again.
Annual pass will be available from August 15:
Nitin Gadkari said in his post that, “Under a historical initiative, Fastag based annual pass is being started from the next 15 August 2025 to Rs 3,000. This pass will remain valid for one year from the date of active date or up to 200 visits, whatever it is earlier.
Only these vehicles will be issued pass:
Let us know that this pass has been specially prepared for non-commercial private vehicles (cars, jeeps, vans etc.). This will be applicable for vehicles on national highways across the country. It does not include commercial vehicles.
How to get Annual Fastag Pass:
The government is working fast to make this annual pass available to all users easily. A separate link will be made available on the highway travel app and NHAI / MORTH websites soon to activate or renew this pass. Through which users will be able to visit the annual pass by visiting this link.
The Union Minister said in his post that, this new policy will also align the concenes that has been running for a long time with toll plazas located within a radius of 60 km and will make the toll pay comfortable through the same accessible transactions. This annual fastag pass is expected to have many benefits. With this, users will also get freedom from the hassle of repeatedly recharging the Fastag.
