The rains in Latur district of Maharashtra have increased the difficulties of farmers. Here the rivers came in spate and water entered the fields. Due to this, the standing crops in many hectares have been completely ruined. In this episode, a heartbreaking incident has come to light from Brahmwadi village of Ahmedpur tehsil of Latur. Here an elderly farmer tried to commit suicide by seeing the crop wasting crop in front of his eyes.
The video of this incident is going viral on social media. In the viral video, 70-year-old farmer Motiram Maruti Ghoga is seen crying bitterly after seeing the crop ruined by water entering his field.
Motiram has only one and a half acres of land. His family passes through this land. But due to rain and floods, the fields were completely submerged and the standing crop was destroyed. Seeing this scene of damage, he could not handle himself and started trying to commit suicide by running towards the river flowing nearby.

It is a matter of honor that some youths of the village present on the spot caught him and stopped from going towards the water. The villagers understood and pacified them. This video not only shook the villagers, but has also revealed the serious condition of the farmers of the district.
Due to the ruin of crops due to rain and floods, the economic crisis is being deepened on farmers. Motiram Ghoe has demanded the government to make a panchnama of the loss of their fields and give appropriate economic compensation. A similar situation remains in many surrounding areas including Latur, where farmers are in despair and frustration to see their hard earned money flowing in water.
