A big news has come out from Versova in Mumbai. A case has been registered against filmmaker Manish Gupta for a murderous attack on his driver with a knife. This information has been given by a Mumbai Police officer himself. The incident took place between the two due to a dispute over Salary. However, despite the case being registered, the filmmaker has not been arrested.
Manish Gupta attacked his driver
An official of the Versova police station said that the incident took place at Manish Gupta’s house in Sagar Sanjog Building on Thursday night. He said that the filmmaker has allegedly injured the driver Rajibul Islam Lashkar, who has been working for three years. After this case, a case has been registered against the filmmaker under sections 118 (2), 115 (2) and 352 of the Indian Code.
But he has not been arrested yet. Driver Lashkar’s lawyer Ali Kashif Khan Deshmukh has demanded the arrest of the filmmaker as soon as possible.
Controversy over salary, attacked with knife
According to a report by the Free Press Journal, Drive Lashkar has written in his FIR that he was working with filmmaker Manish Gupta for the last three years. He used to get a salary of Rs 23,000 a month. However, the filmmaker never gave him a salary on time and suddenly fired him from his job on 30 May.
Despite being fired from the job, he did not pay the remaining money of the driver. When he went to his house to ask him for his salary, he was not given money, after which the debate broke out between the two. The matter went so far that Manish Gupta attacked him with a knife in his kitchen after which he was injured. He had to take him to a nearby hospital where he was treated.
