Triple talaq case in delhi: A triple talaq case has come to light in the capital Delhi. Where a 34 -year -old woman living has alleged that her husband beat her up after several violent incidents and gave her three divorces. Now the police is investigating this matter.
The victim woman is a resident of Vasant Kunj in Delhi. A police officer told PTI that an FIR has been lodged at Vasant Kunj South Police Station and further investigation into the case has been started.
According to the FIR, the couple married on 12 October 2014 according to Muslim customs. The victim woman alleged that her husband had violently behaved with her on several occasions before.
The police officer said that on May 26, the accused husband entered the victim’s flat with two unidentified women and threatened her. It has also been said in the FIR that the accused person admitted to having a relationship and announced triple talaq by repeating the word divorce three times in front of another woman.
In this case, a case has been registered under the provision of Section 115 (2) (voluntarily hurt), 351 (3) (criminal intimidation) and Muslim Women (Protection of Marriage Rights) Act in this case.
