In Tumkuru district of Karnataka, a woman along with her lover killed her husband and threw the body in a well about 30 km away. Police said the accused Sumangla threw chilli powder on her husband Shankaramurthy (50) on June 24, then beaten with a wooden pole and then pressed her throat with her foot.
According to the information, Sumangala, who works as a cook at Kalpataru College Girls Hostel in Tiptur, is accused of killing her husband Shankaramurthy along with her lover Nagaraju. Because Shankaramurthy was against the relationship between the two. Police said that both Sumangala and Nagaraju had a love affair.

After the assassination of Shankaramurthy, Sumangala and Nagaraju took his body in a sack and took it about 30 km away and threw it into a well in a garden. At the same time, this crime came to light after the report of Shankaramurthy’s disappearance. Nonwinkere police had initially filed a missing complaint, but during the investigation, chilli powder stains were found on the victim’s bed. After which the police got suspicious.
