The victim’s lawyer Arindam Kanjilal alleged that the main accused Manjit Mishra, who is an alumnus of the college and now the local leader of the Trinamool Students Council (TMCP), is very impressive due to political reach. Arindam said that the victim was crying in front of the accused, was pleading, pleading for help. But the accused did not listen to him. He said that this is happening in Bengal. A girl goes to college crossing the road and she gets gang -raped there. This is the reality of Bengal.
The lawyer said that the person who has carried out this incident is very powerful. Also said that people who committed this crime are associated with TMC. Medico-legal investigation has been completed in the gang rape case. The victim was investigated at Kolkata Medical College and Hospital, where the doctors confirmed the evidence of forceful sex. Along with this, mental counseling (counseling) was also provided to the victim by an authorized counselor, so that she could be mentally assisted. At the same time, the confidential statement of the victim has been registered in the Alipur court of Kolkata before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM).
