India has created history in the field of space. Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla has left for the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday. He will become the first Indian to visit the International Space Station and after Rakesh Sharma, there will be other Indians who have gone to space. Before going on the mission, Shubhanshu has given a video message, in which he has mentioned India and Rakesh Sharma.

‘I am lucky to get a chance’

Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla said, ‘I am very impressed with Rakesh Sharma and grew up reading about Rakesh Sharma in the syllabus. He is my ideal. The journey I am on, this has been a long journey, this journey started from somewhere, I did not know that it would reach here. He said, ‘I am feeling lucky and lucky by getting this opportunity, flying has always been a dream of mine … I am with a team here. I am happy and very excited too.

Will spend 14 days at space station

Group Captain Shukla along with three other astronauts has flew from the Ex-4 Mission, Kennedy Space Center. After about 28 hours of journey, his spacecraft is expected to do a dock on ISS at around 04:30 pm on Thursday. All astronauts including Shubhanshu will remain at the space station for 14 days.

It is part of the Mission Axiom Space, which is a private aerospace company. Before Wednesday’s launch, this mission has been postponed seven times and many times a new date has come. But now the space vehicle has finally gone on its mission. Earlier, the mission was postponed to remove the problems in the launch vehicle, but now all those problems have been removed.
