A shocking case of cybercrime has come to light in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. Here the police arrested a person, who used to befriend women through social media, then asked for pictures of their feet. Used to blackmail on not sending photos. Pictures of the feet of more than 1000 women have been found from the phone of the accused. This has revealed his peculiar mindset.
According to the information, the matter came to light when a young woman from Hathras lodged a complaint at the cybercrime police station on 1 February 2025. He told that on 24 October 2024, an unknown person sent him a friend request on Snapchat. The initial conversation was normal, but after a few days the accused started sending pornographic messages and then he started asking for pictures of her feet from the girl. When the woman protested, the accused threatened to make the chat public and discredit her. Along with this, he also lured money.

The cybercrime team became active as soon as the complaint was received. The police traced the location of the accused with the help of technical intelligence and arrested him from Ruheri Tirahe of Hathras. Police interrogation revealed that the name of the accused is Deepak Sharma. He is a resident of Aligarh. When the police searched his mobile, pictures of more than 1000 women’s feet were found in it.
Police investigation revealed that Deepak has a mental disorder to see pictures of women’s feet. He used to ask for pictures of his feet online and offline women. If a woman did not listen to him, he used to try to threaten and blackmail her.
Regarding this case, Hathras SP Chiranjeev Nath Sinha said that the accused has been arrested and a case has been registered against him under cybercrime. The police is now investigating that this accused was not using the pictures of women for any wrong purpose.
