Former CJI DY CHANDRAD CASTS VOTE IN DELHI ASSEMBLY Election Affirms EVM Validity Ann | Former CJI Chandrachud reached to vote

Former Chief Justice of India, Justice DY Chandrachud also cast his vote in the Delhi Assembly elections on Wednesday (February 6, 2025). After voting, Justice Chandrachud said that voting is an experience of realizing unity in India’s diversity. He called India’s democracy mature and voters intelligent.

Former Chief Justice Chandrachud voted at the polling station Lions Vidya Mandir School, Rajaji Marg in New Delhi assembly constituency. After this, he spoke to the media. On the question asked about the apprehensions of the opposition about the electronic voting machine i.e. EVM, he said, ‘The Supreme Court is the highest judicial institution of India. The Supreme Court has justified EVM after several detailed hearing. We all should accept this.

While answering the question asked by the leaders about each other during the election, Justice Chandrachud said, “All this is part of electoral politics.” India’s democracy is mature and voters are very intelligent. He vote without being influenced by these things.

Former Chief Justice DY Chandrachud also appealed to the people for a large number of voting. Keep in mind that even while holding the post of Chief Justice, Chandrachud took part in the campaign to make people aware of voting. In the ‘Mera Vote, Meri Awaaz’ campaign conducted by the Election Commission before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he appealed to the voters that they should not miss the opportunity for voting.
