First Indian to score 250+ runs in England Shubman Gill has become the first Indian batsman to score more than 250 runs in England. Before him, Sunil Gavaskar (221 runs, 1979) and Rahul Dravid (217 runs, 2002) had scored double centuries on England soil, but no one could cross the 250 mark.
