Maharashtra Police has registered a case against three people for cheating four people in Thane by promising to get a job in Indian Railways. An official gave this information to a news agency on Tuesday.
According to the information, the accused provided forged documents of railway for forgery to the victims of Badlapur in Thane district of Maharashtra. After this, after winning his trust, the accused took a hefty amount from the victims between September 2020 and July 2024. When the victims asked for updates about their job, the fraudsters failed to give a satisfactory answer.

In the investigation, documents given to the victims were also found to be fake later. On the basis of the complaint, the official said the police on Sunday registered a case of fraud and forgery against the three accused of Badlapur, Mumbai and Jharkhand under the sections of the Indian Justice Code. Police said that the matter is being investigated.
