After the appeal of Manipur Governor Ajay Bhalla, 1060 looted weapons have been surrendered so far. According to the information, the time limit is over and hence the police raid has started at the locations of those who have not returned the weapons. After this, in the last 24 hours, about 36 weapons have been seized by the security forces during the raid. Meanwhile, after the end of the deadline for surrendering arms, the red of security forces has intensified, and from tomorrow the “Free Movement Campaign” will start.
The Manipur Police has informed that the illegal weapons deposited include weapons looted from security forces as well as illegally purchased weapons. These include modern rifles such as grenades, machine guns, grenades, mortars, INSAS rifles and AK-56. The deadline for dedicating weapons ended at four o’clock on Thursday evening. After this, the security forces have started a raid campaign. It is believed that now security agencies are preparing for tough action.

Preparation to recover looted handlers
In fact, when there was violence in Manipur, 6020 weapons were looted at different places, in which 3200 weapons were returned last year but when the governor appealed on February 20, only 1060 weapons have been returned after that. Now the deadline is over, so the agencies want people to either return the weapons as soon as possible, otherwise strict action will be taken against them.
Let us tell you, on February 20, the Governor of Manipur Ajay Kumar Bhalla appealed to the people of the state to deposit illegal weapons. Earlier, a week’s time was given for this, but later this time limit was extended till 4 pm on March 6. The administration assured the people that action would not be taken against the people who deposited weapons. The weapons deposited include modern weapons such as 9mm pistols, sub machine guns, colt machine guns, self-loading rifles, sniper rifles, grenade, insas and AK-56.
A big campaign for free movement will run from March 8
Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had a meeting in Delhi, after which the Home Minister directed that from March 8, the free movement of the public should be ensured on all the routes of Manipur, strict action should be taken against the obstructions on the way, strict action should be continued against all the cases of forced collection, the work of putting the taps on the international border on the international border with Manipur should be completed on both sides.
